Typical Basic Application2.
The sketch opposite shows a typical basic application where the DPM62VA is being used to monitor the voltage and current in a simple circuit. The addition of a second switch is used for the backlit version which is the DPM62VAB.
As per the previous circuit BASIC1 the maximum supply voltage to the instrument is 28volts as shown. The maximum voltage which can be measured with this simple circuit is 35volts.
The addition of a second negative connection to the battery is to minimise any volt drop along the first negative cable which can affect the current reading when the backlight is on.
